Overnight Youth Camp
Ages 8 - 14

Summer camp is magic. It has the power to transform even the shyest camper into a confident leader. It turns strangers into instant friends. It changes barriers into successes.

Our traditional camp experience gives campers the chance to  experience all we have to offer. Mornings are spent with the cabin group participating in organized activates, campers can chose there schedules for the afternoon before joining in all camp games and fires in the evening.

At Y camps, our staff members are enthusiastic and well trained. They guide campers of all backgrounds and abilities through programming that allows them to experience the natural world and an array of creative and challenging activities in a safe, unhurried, child-centered environment.

Waterfront

The waterfront offers a wide variety of activities for all our campers! Campers can go kayaking and paddleboarding, enjoy a refreshing swim in the swimming area, or try their
luck at fishing along the shoreline.  We stock our lake every year with fish, so most kids can find success with a fishing rod at our lake. Who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive Sarah the Whale somewhere in the lake!

  • Swimming – The water is truly fine up at camp! Our swimming area has one of the best views you can ask for, and during the summer, the water is just cold enough to take the edge off the heat from the sun.
  • Kayaking/Paddleboarding – Want to just relax and take in the view around the lake? Kids can kayak or paddleboard around in the sun and enjoy the beautiful scenery while gliding across the water.
  • Fishing – Many kids catch their first fish at our lake, our staff learn to fish themselves and know lots of tips and tricks to ensure that kids find success no matter what! It helps that our lake is private and we stock it every year with trout and bass though!

Climbing

Kids get to challenge themselves on our climbing and adventure courses; our youngest kids get to scale our rock wall, older kids and teens can try our zipline and adventure course, and our older teens experience teambuilding and the challenge of the Giant’s Ladder. Campers can enjoy thrilling experiences high above the ground or team up for exciting challenges together to create memories along the way!

  • Climbing Wall – All our campers, 8 and up, get to climb the climbing wall and then rappel down! Challenging themselves and experiencing a new high!

Arts & Crafts

At Arts & Crafts Shed, campers get to dive into their creativity! Their imaginations can run wild with materials for painting, making lanyards and bracelets, bead crafts, weaving, coloring, and more! Each cabin also gets to design and paint their own special plaque that stays at camp as part of a mural each year, so each camper and staff get a chance to leave their mark on camp!

  • Fabric Paint/Tye Dye – Bring a shirt, bag, or hat to make uniquely yours at our craft shed. Don’t have one to bring? That’s ok, we sell plain white Y tees in the shop for just that reason!
  • Cabin Plaques – Each Camper gets to leave their mark on camp with their whole cabin! Each cabin designs and decorates their plaque with their names and memories from the week to stay at camp for forever as part of a mural.
  • Other Crafts – Bracelet and Lanyard Making, Melting Beads, Weaving, coloring activities, modeling clay, and many, many more activities await!

Outdoor Hikes & Activities

The best part about being at camp is the amazing location! Camp offers a wide variety of hikes with varying difficulties for different age groups. We also have other outdoor games and activities for all ages! Kids can enjoy activities such as basketball, volleyball, gaga ball, soccer, our ‘Ninja Warrior’ course, and more. We also teach outdoor skills like fire building or shelter building. This is the perfect place for kids to spend time outside, having some friendly competition or just some fun!

  • Hiking – Camp is in the heart of the Sequoia National Forest, and we take advantage of our beautiful location. Every group goes on at least one hike and gets to experience the ecological marvel that is our forest!
  • Field Sports – Kids get to get out and run and play! Just the great outdoors, fresh air, and a ball of some kind to enjoy their surroundings! Every day we do some kind of sport whether its Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Gaga Ball, Kick Ball, or just about any other sport with a ball!
  • Outdoor Skills – We teach the kids the fun stuff of being outdoors, like how to build a shelter, or safely start and manage a fire, tie knots, read a compass and map, or many other useful skills!

Make New Friends

All our campers are organized into cabins when they arrive. Sometimes, they have a friend or two already in their cabin, but mostly it’s with new friends they just haven’t met yet! Our entire youth program is built around creating and expanding those bonds of friendship within their cabins. Each cabin is led by one of our amazing counselors who will guide their group throughout the week as kids have fun, conquer challenges, and bond for a lifetime!

  • Meet new people – Campers are placed in cabins with others who are all within 1-2 years of each other in age. These new friends will go everywhere together throughout the week and experience all kinds of adventures together!
  • Make new friends – Staff are thoroughly trained on child and team development and implement a program that inspires and drives building relationships between kids! By the end of each session, children bond and make deep connections and lifelong friendships!
