Summer is a great time to make a difference in a kid’s life! Not only that, but because of the 5 camps we run on our lake, we offer positions of many varieties with people from all around the world. Whether you are a program staff member at one of our Family Camps running the craft shop and ropes courses, or if you are in Skate Camp or Youth Camp mentoring a young kid there is a lot you can do. You can create opportunities for them to overcome obstacles and grow as a person while learning new skills. Becoming a Y staff member will offer you an experience in youth development, creative opportunity, and leadership experience that you will have the rest of your life.
“Working at YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake was something I'd dreamed of since I was a kid, and it was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. I was part of the Adventure Team, facilitating our high ropes, rock wall and giant’s ladder courses. Throughout the summer I made numerous friends from all around the world. I gained connections to new places and knew after a few weeks that I'd want to return next year. Camp Sequoia Lake is the ultimate place to have fun while working and creating friendships that will last a lifetime.”
I was excited coming from another camp to this one. The truth is that I had a great time, and the staff and managers were the best. They treat you well and listen to the concerns you have and do their best to give you what you need to be comfortable at the lake. It is a large camp so there is a lot to do in your free time. Living in the family camp is pleasant and I am going to return again in 2023!”

Camp is a place that I created unique, special memories and met some friends i’ll be friends with forever. You get to see things you don’t see every day, especially in the UK. You meet incredible people and I enjoyed every moment of my time there. I’m coming back again!”
