Skate Sessions

Skateboarding instruction is offered a few times throughout the week for anyone who wants to build their skills.

  • For all skill-levels!
  • From 5 skateparks to choose from on the property, campers can take advantage of a unique location and build connections within the skateboarding community!
  • Skate parks at Millwood Village
  • Helmets are required any time you skateboard, regardless of skill level
  • Knee and elbow pads are not required but strongly recommended to all – especially beginners!

Waterfront Activities

Cool down at the waterfront, open every day of camp! The waterfront offers a wide variety of activities for all our campers: kayak and paddleboard, enjoy a refreshing swim in the swimming area, or try your luck at fishing along the shoreline.

  • Swimming: The water is truly fine up at camp! Our swimming area has one of the best views you can ask for, and during the summer, the water is just cold enough to take the edge off the heat from the sun.
  • Kayak/Paddleboarding: Want to just relax and take in the view around the lake? Campers can kayak or paddleboard around in the sun and enjoy the beautiful scenery while gliding across the water!
  • Fishing: Give fishing a try, or help someone else get introduced to the world of fishing at camp! With all gear provided and experienced staff members to help out, we have everything you need for success. It helps that our lake is private and we stock it every year with trout and bass!

Creative Arts!

If you’re looking for a more creatively focused experience, we’ve got you covered. You’re welcome to bring any arts supplies you might need, but
check out what we’ve got available on-site if you’re not sure where to start!

  • Arts & crafts shed: head over to the art shed to add flair to your grip tape, make rings out of recycled skateboards and more!
  • Music shed: Get ready to bring out your inner rockstar with our music shed! We’ve got acoustic and electric guitars, microphones, drums and a keyboard.
Jam with friends or serenade the trees, maybe even come out with a new original song (or your very own band!).

Hiking & Outdoor Activities

One of the biggest perks of being at Camp Sequoia Lake is the sheer amount of beautiful nature that is all around us. With the national park a few miles away, this is truly a nature getaway that is unbeatable.

  • Take advantage of your surroundings by going on a beautiful hike! The hikes around camp are beginner friendly and fun for any age.
  • National Park: If you have your own vehicle, you are always welcome to take a day trip into the Sequoia National Park! Do your research beforehand to be aware of any advance reservations required for the attractions in the park.
  • Bird watching: What’s more peaceful than connecting with the creatures in the sky? Bring a pair of binoculars and see what kind of flying friends frequent our camp! Star gazing: At night, away from the city lights, we get to see a clear view of the stars in the sky. Lay out with friends and see how many constellations you can find!

Sports

There is an abundance of physical activities to do at camp, both as an individual and in a team! In addition to skateparks on-site, there are opportunities to get up and get moving all throughout camp.

  • Morning Run Club: Lace up your shoes and take a run around the lake with our unofficial morning run club! At our run club, you can run at a pace that makes sense for you and your body.
  • Self-led yoga: Bring a yoga mat and stretch, meditate, or share your practice with fellow campers!
  • Skateboarding: One of the most unique activities we get to do at camp is skateboarding! Home to some truly unique and beautiful skateparks, our camp is a space to work on your skating among supportive friends.
  • Pickleball and Volleyball: Volley with a friend or join our pickleball tournament. Do you think you have what it takes to be this year’s pickleball champion?

Relax and Unplug

Want a truly pared down camp experience? Camp is your space to do what you need to do, and sometimes what we REALLY need… is nothing.
Step away from the overstimulation of our digital world, and get connected to the natural part in all of us that just wants some rest.
