SKATEBOARDING: CULTURE, MOVEMENT, & CAMP TRADITIONS

Y Skate Camp brings together skaters ages 8–17 for daily skate sessions designed for all skill levels, with supportive staff and visiting skate pros who help make each week feel truly special. But camp isn’t just about learning tricks or skating longer, it’s about finding your people. It’s about skate culture in its fullest sense: creativity, self-expression, and shared experiences. Off the boards, campers take part in traditional camp activities like using our beautiful lake for swimming, kayaking, exploring outdoor survival skills, and winding down together around the campfire. All a part of the mission to build friendships and memories that last long after the week ends.

SKATE WILD

Campers can learn the basics from fellow skaters: shelter building, friction fire, spoon/ bowl making, water purification, and more. Our Skate Wild experts can answer any questions you have about surviving in the wild.

MUSIC

Music is a major part of skate culture, and a big part of camp! We have acoustic and electric guitars, microphones, drums, a keyboard, and some amazing instructors. You can just jam, or form a band and perform at campfire.

ART SHED

Art and skateboarding go hand in hand, so head over to the art shed to add flair to your grip tape, make rings out of recycled skateboards, or make and design a mini skateboard during Create-A-Skate. This is a unique program that allows campers to learn how a board is made from beginning to end.

CAMPFIRE!!

At the end of the day, we all come together to perform funny skits, songs, and announce winners for awards. We also get to interview whichever pro team has joined us for the week. This is the perfect place to debut your new band!
