Camp Sequoia

Welcome to Camp Sequoia! Camp Sequoia has been home to families camping for 50 years. We have a long line of campers whose families have been here for generations and always looking to welcome new ones. With a long shoreline to sit by, feel free to relax during your time with us. Camp Sequoia offers an endless number of memories to form with your family that will make you want to keep coming back.

Our Programming

Waterfront

The waterfront offers a wide variety of activities for campers of all ages! Campers can go boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or try their luck at fishing. Campers can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the designated swim zone. And don’t forget to prepare for some splash-filled fun like our cannonball contests or water carnival!

Adventure

Our adventure courses include the high ropes course, giant’s ladder, and rock wall. Campers can join us for thrilling experiences high above the ground or team up for exciting challenges together to create memories along the way!

Youth Programming

At camp we aim to create strong bonds that our campers can cherish for a lifetime. These memories start here. We offer morning programming for campers in three age groups. Our Sapling Center for our littlest campers ages 0-4. Our Kids Club for ages 5-9 and Tween Time for ages 10-13.

Outdoor Games

Camp offers a wide variety of outdoor games and activities for all ages! Families and kids can enjoy activities such as ping pong, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, gaga ball, cornhole and much more. These activities are readily accessible throughout the day, perfect for friendly competition or just some fun!

 

Games

Craft Shop

At the Craft Shop, campers can dive into their creativity! You’ll find materials for making lanyards, painting, crafting with paper, creating shrinky dinks, and even ‘boat regatta’ kits. Let your imagination run wild! We also offer ceramics for purchase, and we’ll fire them in our kiln so they’re ready to take home as a special camp keepsake.

Evening Programs

Each year, we find new ways to make our evenings special with the people you love. As the sun sets over the lake, the fun keeps going! Families can gather for campfire songs, karaoke, family game nights, unwind with a movie in the park and much more. These activities give a warm end to a fun day at camp.

Our 8 apartments will have a multiroom space with a personal bathroom, queen beds, and bunk style beds. Please call our office for more information regarding these accommodations.

We have 5 select winterized cabins that are great for keeping out the outdoors. These cabins contain 1 queen bed and 3 bunk style beds.

Sequoia contains 10 Divided cabins which are our most common cabins throughout camp. These offer a true camp experience, and have been home to many families over the years! This cabin includes 1 queen bed and 3 bunk style beds.

With 5 designated tent spots and 2 RV / Camper spots across our lakes shoreline you just need to bring your gear to camp with us! All activities are included. (hookups are not available)

Fishing at Camp

Over the last 5 years the lake has been stocked consistently before the start of the summer with rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, sunfish, golden shiners, and more!

Where can campers fish? 
Campers can fish anywhere in the camp village they are participants of as long as they are not fishing in swim areas. 

Fishing out of boats?
Campers may fish out of row boats only. While in the boats, campers must wear closed toe shoes to ensure no hooks get caught on feet. Campers must also wear their lifejackets at all times and follow all boating procedures.

Boating at Camp

Zip up that lifejacket and join us out in the water! We offer row boats, kayaks, paddleboards and canoes throughout the day. 

How to participate?
All campers are required to wear a lifejacket at all times while on any boats, regardless of swimming ability.
Campers who wish to take out rowboats must wear closed-toe shoes. Since the boats are often used for fishing, there may occasionally be leftover materials such as hooks…ouch! 

Who can go out on boats?
Anyone 18+ can go out on any boat by themselves. For children safety rules, please refer to our family camp handbook or call the office for more details.

Sapling Center

The Sapling Center is open both morning and afternoon. Hours are 9:15am – 12:00pm and 1:15pm to 5:00pm

Parents can drop off their children ages 0-4 with our Sapling Center Program Staff. We ask that you provide a diaper bag with anything that your little camper may need and we take care of the rest! At the sapling center, we have an assortment of toys, books, and non-toxic craft materials for our youngest campers to enjoy.

  • Painting mini murals
  • Reading
  • Crafting with paper plates

Tween Time

Tween Time programming is offered most mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for campers ages 10-13! It’s a wonderful opportunity for campers to have fun, get creative, and make new friends. Each morning, our Tween Time Program Staff announces the day’s featured activity so parents can reach their tweens. Activities are made with the tweens’ skills and interests in mind. Campers will meet at the bell and must be signed in and out of program by a parent.

Examples of activities: 

  • Day at the Point – Building Shelters 
  • Water Day – Swim time, Boating, Cannonball contests
  • Scavenger Hunt and Hike around the lake
  • Craft Day – Fuse Beads, self portraits, friendship bracelets
  • Special Projects – Cyanotype Printing, Popsicle stick Boat making, Papermaking

Kid's Club

We offer Kid’s Club programming most mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for campers ages 5 to 9! It’s a wonderful opportunity for young campers to have fun, explore, and make new friends. Each morning, our Kid’s Club Program Staff announces the day’s featured activity so parents can help their little ones get ready for the adventure ahead.

Examples of activities: 

  • Day at the Point – Building Shelters, Reading and snacks
  • Water Day – Water balloon fights, Swim time, Canon ball contest
  • Field Day – Parachute games, Tag, Hula Hoops
  • Scavenger Hunt and Adventure Day 
  • Craft Day – Shrinky dinks, Painting, Self portraits, Popsicle stick boats

Craft Shop at Sequoia

At the Craft Shop, we have a wide array of craft materials so you can let your imagination run wild. It’s also the home of some of our favorite crafting activities!

Tie Dye: On the final day of each camp session, campers can bring cotton items to tie-dye! Our wonderful volunteers and staff are there to help guide the process and bring each camper’s colorful design to life.

Boat Regatta: On the final evening of camp, campers gather for our fun and friendly race on the lake! Campers design and build their own mini boat with popsicle sticks, then compete to see whose sails the fastest. The winner takes home the first-place prize!

Ceramics: Campers also love painting ceramics! Before you head home, we’ll fire all the pieces made during the week so you can take your finished ceramic with you as a special camp keepsake
